(WO) — Emerson has launched the AspenTech AVA™ AI platform, a new industrial artificial intelligence platform designed to help companies accelerate enterprise-scale AI adoption across operations, improve reliability and support faster operational decision-making.
The platform combines generative AI capabilities with AspenTech’s industrial software models and operational workflows to provide AI-assisted recommendations directly within industrial environments. Emerson said the platform is designed specifically for industrial companies seeking practical and scalable ways to deploy AI technologies in real-world operating conditions.
According to the company, AVA incorporates decades of industrial process expertise and first-principles modeling alongside large language models to support operational optimization, workflow automation and enterprise-wide decision support.
“AVA provides a practical way to accelerate AI adoption to deliver repeatable, scalable operational impact,” said Claudio Fayad, chief technology officer at Emerson’s Aspen Technology business. “By orchestrating AI across operations, AVA enables teams to act faster, develop more informed strategies and improve reliability—without disrupting proven processes.”
The platform is built on the AspenTech Inmation™ Data Platform, which organizes and contextualizes operational technology (OT) data across cloud, edge and on-premise systems. Emerson said the infrastructure allows AVA to provide real-time operational visibility while supporting AI-assisted analysis and recommendations.
Emerson added that the platform is intended to support a new generation of digital-native industrial workers by embedding AI-guided operational support directly into workflows and decision-making processes.
AVA is initially launching with four operational optimization and decision-support advisors. Emerson also introduced AspenTech.ai, a web-based interactive platform that allows users to explore AI-assisted industrial workflows and operational use cases.
