Capital One Savor: Up to $250
The Capital One Savor card has no annual fee and a valuable intro APR offer, but what makes it stand out is its bonus categories. You’ll earn 3% cash back at grocery stores and on entertainment, dining and streaming services.
Its current $250 bonus is easy to earn and only requires you to spend $500 in purchases within the first three months from account opening. That’s the exact spending requirement for the card’s previous offer, which was only worth $200.
The Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card is one of the most rewarding options for earning cash back in categories such as entertainment and dining without paying an annual fee. Plus, you can combine its rewards with Capital One’s travel cards to convert them into transferable miles.
- One of the most rewarding cash back cards for entertainment and streaming services

This is a great standalone card because it earns additional rewards in two popular categories (dining and groceries) and in categories that fewer cards offer bonus rewards for (entertainment and streaming services). It’s also great to have if you pair it with a card like the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card or Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, because you can combine your rewards. That means the cash back you earn with the Savor card can be converted into transferable Capital One miles.
The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card has a reasonable annual fee and earns flexible travel rewards, which makes it a great travel card for beginners or heavy travelers.

Capital One Student cards: Up to $100
If you’re a college student, opening a student credit card can be a good way to start establishing credit history. However, credit cards designed for students and others with little-to-no credit history also tend to be far less rewarding. Many of these cards offer no rewards at all.
Capital One bucks that trend with its Quicksilver Student and Savor Student cards. Surprisingly, both earn cash back at the same rate as their non-student counterparts. The Quicksilver Student card earns 1.5% cash back on all purchases, and the Savor Student card earns 3% cash back on dining, entertainment, streaming services and at grocery stores.
They also each feature a welcome bonus, which is, again, rare for a student credit card. Both cards currently offer a $100 cash bonus after you spend $300 on the card within the first three months. That’s a $50 increase from the last bonus, but with the same spending requirement.
If you’re a student, you’ll have a difficult time finding a credit card you’ll qualify for that is more valuable than either of these options.
The Capital One Quicksilver Student Credit Card earns a generous 1.5% cash back on every purchase, which makes it one of the most rewarding credit cards that’s available to students.
