(WO) — Evolution Well Services has secured a two-year contract extension with an existing independent exploration and production (E&P) customer to continue providing electric hydraulic fracturing services, reinforcing demand for electric-powered completion technologies in U.S. shale.
The agreement extends a long-term relationship between the companies and will see Evolution continue delivering high-efficiency electric frac services under a multi-year development program. Financial terms and the identity of the operator were not disclosed.
Evolution said the extension reflects continued adoption of its integrated electric fracturing platform, which combines electric frac fleets with field gas conditioning and on-site power generation to support completion operations. The company said the technology is designed to improve operational efficiency while reducing fuel consumption and emissions compared with conventional diesel-powered frac fleets.

The contract supports Evolution’s strategy of expanding long-term partnerships with shale operators as demand grows for electric fracturing technologies that can improve operational performance and lower completion costs. The company said it will continue supporting the operator’s development program throughout the two-year extension.
