(WO) — Proserv has established a local operating presence in Brazil as the controls technology company expands its support for one of the world’s largest offshore oil and gas markets.
The Aberdeen-based company said it has established a Brazilian trading entity, enabling it to contract directly with local customers, and has begun recruiting employees in the country as part of its long-term growth strategy.
Proserv, which has supported offshore projects in Brazil from its global operations for more than 20 years, said the move will allow it to work more closely with operators seeking to improve equipment reliability, extend asset life and enhance operational performance across the country’s deepwater developments.
The company plans to expand its local capabilities through partnerships while providing subsea controls, topside control systems, hydraulic power units, metering and sampling technologies, and lifecycle support services for offshore production assets.

Kevin Gentry, director of Sales & Strategic Accounts – Americas, said Brazil’s mature offshore infrastructure presents growing demand for equipment upgrades and lifecycle services that improve reliability without requiring full system replacement.
Proserv said its technology-agnostic approach enables operators to modernize existing offshore production systems while minimizing downtime and reducing overall lifecycle costs. The company expects its expanded local presence to strengthen long-term relationships with Brazilian operators as offshore activity continues to grow.
