(WO) — Baker Hughes has secured a substantial contract from Searah North Ganal Ltd., a joint venture between Eni and PETRONAS, to provide subsea production systems and digital technologies for the Kutei Northern Hub gas development offshore Indonesia.
Under the award, Baker Hughes will supply 17 deepwater horizontal subsea trees, along with associated manifolds, control systems and subsea distribution equipment for the integrated development of the Geng North and Gehem fields. The company will also deploy its Cordant™ asset protection and condition monitoring platform to help improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
The Kutei Northern Hub is expected to strengthen Indonesia’s natural gas production and LNG export capacity by bringing together the recently discovered Geng North field and the nearby Gehem development.

Baker Hughes said the project will leverage its manufacturing and service capabilities in Indonesia, including subsea tree production at its Batam manufacturing center and operational support from its Balikpapan facility.
The award builds on Baker Hughes’ existing role in the development. In 2025, the company was selected to provide flash gas compressors for the project’s new floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, which is designed to process more than 1 Bscf/d of gas and 90,000 bpd of condensate, with storage capacity of 1.4 MMbbl.
