(WO) — Energy and marine consultancy ABL has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with shipbroker Baltic Maritime Broker (BMB) to provide vessel assurance and marine risk services supporting offshore energy operations across the Baltic Sea.
Under the agreement, ABL’s Poland operations will work with BMB to help vessel owners, operators and offshore project stakeholders assess vessel suitability and identify operational risks ahead of mobilization. Services will include marine assurance, surveys and inspections conducted in accordance with International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) requirements.
Poland-based BMB provides offshore vessel brokerage services for oil and gas, offshore wind and other marine operations in Poland and across the wider Baltic Sea region.
“Through this collaboration, we can help BMB and its clients gain greater confidence in vessel suitability, reduce operational risk and support safe project delivery,” said Michal Zientarski, ABL’s country lead in Poland. “Our presence in Poland and Germany allows us to mobilize local expertise quickly, while bringing the global standards and experience expected from ABL’s marine assurance teams.”
The companies said demand for vessel assurance and marine risk services is increasing across the Baltic Sea amid continued investment in offshore energy and marine infrastructure.
ABL’s Gdansk-based team provides engineering, consulting, loss prevention and asset and operations management services for maritime, oil and gas and renewable energy projects. The company is already supporting offshore projects across the Baltic Sea, including oil and gas developments as well as the Baltica 2 and BC-Wind offshore wind projects.
