(WO) — Norwegian ocean technology company Miros has secured more than 10 offshore technology deployments across South America during the first three quarters of 2026, with Brazil accounting for the majority of the activity.
The deployments include real-time wave and ocean monitoring and oil spill detection technologies supporting subsea construction, offshore vessel operations, drilling-related activities and environmental response. Miros has also secured deployments linked to offshore operations in Guyana.
The 2026 activity follows additional offshore technology awards in Brazil and Guyana during the final months of 2025. Miros said the latest agreements include both new and existing customers, with repeat business extending its systems to additional vessels and offshore assets.
Deployments span offshore support vessels, marine response vessels and drilling-related assets. The company did not disclose individual customers or contract values.
“What is particularly encouraging is not simply the number of wins, but the pattern behind them,” Miros CEO Marius Five Aarset said. “We are seeing new customers adopting Miros’ technology, existing customers expanding to additional vessels, and growing activity in Brazil.”
Miros said real-time ocean data are being used to support operational decision-making across subsea operations, drilling, vessel operations and oil spill response.
Brazil remains the center of the company’s South American expansion. Miros works with local partner Belga Marine to provide technology and in-country support, including oil spill detection systems.
The company said it continues to invest in engineering, commercial resources and customer support in Brazil as it targets further offshore energy opportunities across South America.
