(WO) — SLB has been awarded a contract by OQ Exploration & Production (OQEP) to deliver an expansion of the Bisat-B production facility in Oman, increasing its gross fluids handling capacity to 548,000 bpd.
Under the contract, SLB will provide design, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning services for the expansion. The company will also provide four years of operations and maintenance support following completion.
The project is scheduled for completion within 19 months and represents the next phase of development at the Bisat field as OQEP works to increase production.

The award builds on previous work by SLB at Bisat, including delivery of the Bisat-A facility in 2018 and the original Bisat-B facility in 2020.
SLB will provide integrated project delivery from engineering through commissioning for the latest expansion before transitioning to the four-year operations and maintenance phase. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
