Can the stock rise further?
According to Vipin Kumar, AVP-Research at Globe Capital Market, the current chart structure is sideways, facing immediate moving average resistance at the ₹2,965 spot level.
“A decisive close above this resistance zone could drive the stock toward the ₹3,150 level in the medium term. Conversely, a sustained drop below ₹2,780 spot could drag it back into the ₹2,600– ₹2,650 spot range, filling the gap left open today,” said Kumar.
According to Aditya Thukral, founder and analyst at AT Research and Risk Managers, Trent has been undergoing a correction that began in October 2024. The corrective structure still looks incomplete, and the stock may try to move toward the 52-week low of ₹2,183.70 to complete the larger correction.
Thukral added that the stock is approaching the previous support zone, which is now working as resistance. Moreover, the stock is trading with a negative crossover among its major exponential moving averages.
“If the stock had to turn bullish on a long-term horizon, it had to consolidate above the EMAs, which should also give positive crossovers in the time to come, and it is a time-consuming process. As it is in a sideways corrective phase, it is wise to exit longs or book profits near resistance areas of ₹2,900 and ₹3,100, and buy back the stock near supports of ₹2,600 and ₹2,350,” said Thukral.
