(WO) – DOF Group has been awarded a subsea contract in Africa that it classifies as significant, a category the company defines as worth between $15 million and $25 million. The client, described only as a leading operator, was not named.
Under the contract, DOF will provide project management, engineering, logistics and offshore execution for the transportation and installation of various subsea production systems (SPS) on deepwater field developments. The work will be carried out by the construction support vessel Skandi Acergy, with the campaign scheduled to start early in the first quarter of 2027 and run for about 100 days.
Project management, engineering and planning will be handled by DOF’s Atlantic region teams in Bergen and Aberdeen, while the offshore scope will be performed in a dedicated campaign supporting the client’s field development schedule.
“Deepwater SPS installation is a critical phase in the development of any field and requires careful planning, strong engineering and proven execution capability,” said Mons S. Aase, CEO of DOF Group. The award adds to DOF’s 2027 backlog and, the company said, strengthens its position in the African subsea market.
