(WO) – Oil & Gas Development Co. Ltd. (OGDCL) has brought the Bitrism East-1 exploratory well in Sindh province, Pakistan, into production about a year after announcing the gas-condensate discovery in the Lower Goru formation’s Massive and Basal Sands.
The well is currently producing 7.0 MMscf/d of gas and 200 b/d of condensate from the Basal Sands, and output is expected to be ramped up progressively as flow stabilizes.
To fast-track the discovery, OGDCL used in-house resources to lay an approximately 28-km, 8-in. flowline from the well to its Sinjhoro processing plant. Processed gas is being delivered into the Sui Southern Gas Co. (SSGCL) network.
Bitrism East-1 is in District Khairpur. OGDCL operates the Bitrism Exploration Licence with a 77.5% working interest; Government Holdings (Private) Ltd. holds the remaining 22.5%.
