(WO) — Offshore services provider BOURBON has appointed Olivier Blaringhem as chief executive officer, effective Sept. 14, 2026, succeeding Gaël Bodénès, who has led the company since 2017.
Blaringhem brings more than 25 years of experience in offshore services, engineering and subsea project execution. He joins BOURBON from Subsea7, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President of Subsea and Conventional and held a series of leadership roles across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
The leadership transition comes as BOURBON continues to expand its offshore support vessel fleet and strengthen its position in key offshore markets, including West Africa and Guyana. The company recently announced the addition of 13 offshore support vessels since the beginning of 2026, representing an investment of more than $180 million.
“BOURBON enters this next chapter in a strong position,” said Bruno Chabas, Chairman of the Board at BOURBON. “The Group holds market-leading positions in West Africa and the Guyana basin—some of the world’s most attractive offshore growth regions—with long-standing relationships with the leading operators driving the global deepwater markets.”
Chabas said Blaringhem’s international experience and offshore industry expertise will support the company’s continued growth and operational development.
“I am delighted to join BOURBON at such a compelling moment,” said Blaringhem.“The Group has a market-leading fleet operating in some of the most active offshore basins and a clear strategic roadmap in the context of a robust market.”
Blaringhem said his priorities will include further strengthening operational performance, expanding customer relationships and supporting growth across the company’s core offshore markets.
BOURBON operates one of the world’s largest fleets of offshore support vessels, providing marine and logistics services to offshore oil and gas operators worldwide.
