(WO) — L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore (LTEH Offshore) has secured a contract valued at more than ₹150 billion ($1.57 billion) for a major offshore development project in the Middle East.
The project covers the development of multiple offshore facilities, with LTEH Offshore responsible for engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC). The company said a significant portion of fabrication will be carried out at L&T’s integrated manufacturing and fabrication facilities.
While L&T did not identify the client, country or specific development, the company described the award as one of the most significant offshore projects currently underway in the Middle East.
“With multiple offshore facilities, subsea infrastructure and substantial fabrication requirements, this project exemplifies the scale and complexity of offshore developments that LTEH Offshore is uniquely positioned to deliver,” said Parthasarathi Chatterjee, senior vice president and head of L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore.
LTEH Offshore provides engineering, fabrication and offshore installation services supported by its own marine fleet. The company has previously executed fixed platform, subsea pipeline and structure, brownfield modification, deepwater and decommissioning projects.
L&T classifies the new award as “ultra-mega,” its designation for contracts valued at more than ₹150 billion.
