(WO) — Gulf Marine Services (GMS) has secured a 183-day contract extension for one of its Small-class self-elevating support vessels operating in the Middle East, extending work for a major national oil company.
The extension was awarded under an existing agreement and will allow the vessel to continue supporting the operator’s offshore maintenance activities without interruption. The contract also includes two additional three-month extension options.
GMS said its current contract backlog stands at $659 million, with the latest award supporting continued fleet utilization amid strong demand for offshore support vessels in the region.
“We are delighted to have secured this extension, which reflects the confidence our clients continue to place in GMS to deliver safe and reliable support for their offshore operations,” said Mansour Al Alami, GMS Executive Chairman. “This extension further strengthens fleet utilization, which remains central to delivery of our objectives.”
GMS operates a fleet of 15 self-propelled, self-elevating support vessels serving offshore oil and gas and renewable energy markets. Its vessels support activities including offshore platform maintenance and refurbishment, well intervention, installation and decommissioning.
