(WO) — Weatherford International has secured a two-year extension of several existing agreements with Equinor and has been selected as the primary provider of completion systems for the Statfjord and Oseberg fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
The awards expand Weatherford’s role in supporting Equinor’s offshore development and production operations in the North Sea, where the companies have an established working relationship.
Under the extended agreements, Weatherford will provide its integrated well completions portfolio to support operational efficiency, well performance and production optimization throughout the well lifecycle.
The additional completions scope at Statfjord and Oseberg will further expand Weatherford’s involvement in Equinor’s offshore operations, including the deployment of completion systems designed to support well productivity and reliability.
“We are pleased to continue expanding our collaboration with Equinor through these agreement extensions and the award of this important completions scope,” said Girish Saligram, Weatherford’s president and CEO.
The awards build on Weatherford’s existing operations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and its ongoing work supporting offshore well construction and production activities.
Financial terms of the agreements and the duration of the new Statfjord and Oseberg completions award were not disclosed.
