Equinor extends Deepsea Atlantic drilling contract into late 2027

(WO) — Equinor Energy AS has exercised options for two additional wells for Odfjell Drilling’s Deepsea Atlantic semisubmersible rig, extending its firm contract into late fourth-quarter 2027.

The additional wells will be drilled in direct continuation of the rig’s current contract at rates agreed under the original contract. Equinor retains priced options for a further two wells.
