(WO) — Energy and marine consultancy ABL has expanded its operations in Brazil with the opening of a new office in Salvador, strengthening its asset integrity management capabilities for the country’s oil and gas sector.
The new office will support projects across the oil and gas, maritime and industrial sectors in Brazil and the wider Americas region. ABL said the location will serve as a hub for asset integrity management services, including operations and maintenance strategies, life-extension studies, process safety and technical training.
The Salvador office will be led by Mauricio Viana, ABL’s manager for asset integrity management in Brazil.
“This is an important step in strengthening ABL’s presence across the Americas and supporting projects already underway,” Viana said. He added that Salvador’s proximity to major ports, shipyards, petrochemical facilities and onshore oil and gas operations provides a strategic advantage for supporting ongoing asset integrity projects.
According to ABL, the new location complements its existing operations in Rio de Janeiro and positions the company closer to key energy and industrial hubs in northeastern Brazil.
ABL said it also plans to expand additional service offerings from the Salvador office, including maritime, offshore engineering and renewable energy support services.
The move reflects continued activity across Brazil’s offshore energy sector, where operators are investing in asset integrity, maintenance and life-extension programs to support long-term production and operational reliability.
