Aurobindo Pharma share price climbed 1% in the morning trade on the BSE on Monday, 24 August, even as the pharma company said the US FDA conducted a routine inspection of its wholly owned step-down subsidiary in the US from 17th to 21st August 2026, which concluded with four observations.
Aurobindo Pharma shares opened at ₹1,619.75 against their previous close of ₹1,619.95 and rose over 1% to an intraday high of ₹1,637.75.
US subsidiary faces USFDA observations
In an exchange filing on 24 August, Aurobindo Pharma said the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) conducted a routine inspection at its wholly owned step-down subsidiary, Lannett Company LLC, located at Seymour, IN, USA, from 17th to 21st August 2026, which concluded with four observations.
The company said the observations were procedural and that it will respond to the US FDA within the stipulated timeline.
It further added that it is committed to maintaining robust quality and compliance standards across its manufacturing facilities.
Additionally, in a separate exchange filing on 21 August, the company said that the USFDA conducted a routine inspection at AuroPeptides Ltd, a manufacturer of Peptide APIs, located in Indrakaran Village, Kandi Mandal, Sangareddy District, Telangana, from 17th to 21st August, 2026.
The inspection concluded with only one observation, related to facility and equipment maintenance and does not pertain to data integrity or related GMP compliance, said the company.
“Corrective action was already initiated during the course of the inspection, and our formal response will be submitted within the stipulated timeline,” said Aurobindo Pharma.
Aurobindo Pharma share price trend
The stock recently hit a 52-week high of ₹1,682 on 13 August, and a 52-week low of ₹1,017 on 2 September last year.
Year-to-date, the stock has jumped 36% compared to a 9% decline in the Sensex index, while over the last year, it has jumped 54%, compared to a 5% decline in the Sensex.
