(WO) — Baker Hughes has secured a major order from Venture Global LNG to supply liquefaction technology for the CP2 LNG expansion project in Louisiana, further strengthening the companies’ long-standing partnership in U.S. LNG development.
Booked during the second quarter, the award covers six liquefaction blocks, bringing Baker Hughes’ total scope on the CP2 project to 12 liquefaction modules. Each block will incorporate two single mixed-refrigerant (SMR) liquefaction modules, centrifugal compressor technology, compression trains, cold boxes, air coolers and integrated control systems.
The latest award expands Baker Hughes’ existing master equipment supply agreement with Venture Global and reinforces its role as a key technology provider across the developer’s LNG portfolio.
“Baker Hughes has been a trusted partner across our LNG developments, and we are pleased to extend this collaboration as we advance the next phase of CP2,” said Venture Global CEO Mike Sabel.
Baker Hughes currently supplies LNG systems for Venture Global’s Calcasieu Pass and Plaquemines LNG facilities and serves as a strategic supplier across more than 100 MMtpa of existing and planned production capacity.
