(WO) — Chevron Corporation has announced a series of senior leadership changes effective Jan. 1, 2027, including the appointment of current Chief Financial Officer Eimear Bonner as president of the company’s Oil, Products & Gas business.
In the new role, Bonner will oversee operations across Chevron’s oil and gas value chain, including capital allocation, asset performance and value chain optimization.
Mark Nelson, currently vice chairman and executive vice president of Oil, Products & Gas, will remain vice chairman and assume responsibility for Strategy and Business Development. His role will include identifying and advancing opportunities to strengthen Chevron’s portfolio and support long-term growth.
Jeff Gustavson, currently president of New Energies, will succeed Bonner as Chief Financial Officer. He will oversee Chevron’s audit, controller, investor relations, tax, treasury and business planning activities worldwide.
Brent Gros, currently president of Offshore, will become president of New Energies. Gros will lead Chevron’s lower-carbon businesses, including hydrogen, power, carbon capture, offsets and biofuels. He will also oversee the company’s artificial intelligence strategy, with a focus on operational performance, cost efficiency and innovation.
“Mark, Eimear, Jeff and Brent bring a combination of operational expertise, strategic perspective and a proven ability to deliver results across our business,” said Mike Wirth, Chevron chairman and CEO. “Their experience, judgment and commitment to excellence will help position Chevron for continued success in an evolving energy landscape.”
The appointments represent a reshuffling of Chevron’s existing senior leadership team, with executives moving into new responsibilities across the company’s core oil and gas, finance, strategy and lower-carbon businesses.
