(WO) — Sercel has been awarded a one-year contract by ExxonMobil Global Projects to deploy its Marlin simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) platform in support of the Whiptail development in Guyana’s Stabroek Block.
The software platform will be used during pipelay and mooring installation campaigns, providing real-time visibility of concurrent offshore activities to help improve planning, coordination and operational safety in a high-activity environment.
According to Sercel, the Marlin platform integrates geospatial data with live operational information, enabling offshore teams to monitor vessel movements and asset locations while managing multiple activities simultaneously. The deployment includes system configuration, onboarding, operational reviews and 24/7 support.

The contract supports ongoing development of the Whiptail project, one of several major offshore developments planned for the prolific Stabroek Block, where ExxonMobil and its partners continue to expand production offshore Guyana.
