(WO) — Halliburton has secured a multi-year contract from Eni to provide integrated drilling, well construction and completions services for the Cronos ultra-deepwater gas development offshore Cyprus.
The contract covers exploration and development wells in Block 6 of Cyprus’ Exclusive Economic Zone in the Eastern Mediterranean. Halliburton will provide bundled well services designed to streamline execution across the drilling campaign.
The scope includes drilling fluids, directional drilling, cementing, surface well testing and coiled tubing, along with Halliburton’s LOGIX automation and remote operations technologies.
“The Cronos award builds on Halliburton’s longstanding relationship with Eni and highlights the company’s ability to deliver integrated offshore solutions for complex deepwater developments,” said Jean-Marc Lopez, Halliburton senior vice president for Europe, Eurasia and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Halliburton will support the campaign through its existing infrastructure and regional operations in Cyprus.
The award expands Halliburton’s role in the Eastern Mediterranean as Eni advances development of the Cronos gas discovery. The companies did not disclose the contract value or specific duration beyond describing the work as a multi-year development.
