Here are the stocks reporting next week that have a history of earnings beats and big share gains
A handful of companies reporting earnings soon have a strong history of not only surpassing Wall Street’s expectations, but also rewarding investors with a jump in shares following their results. Earnings season continues next week, with companies across technology, financials, industrials and consumer sectors set to post their latest quarterly results. Household products maker Procter & Gamble and railroad shipper Union Pacific are among those slated to report. CNBC Pro screened data from Bespoke Investment Group for companies posting results next week that have beaten earnings-per-share estimates at least 80% of the time and whose shares have gained an average of 1.5% or more on earnings days. The screen turned up seven stocks, including RingCentral , Intuitive Surgical and Deckers Outdoor . RingCentral has the strongest historical record on the screen. The cloud communications company topped estimates 98% of the time, while its shares have posted an average gain of 4.2% on earnings day, the largest among the companies on the list. RingCentral is scheduled to report third-quarter results after the closing bell on Oct. 22. The company recently entered a strategic partnership with Allnet.Italia, an information and communications technology firm. The alliance will enable Allnet.Italia’s network of channel partners to sell, implement and support advanced AI offerings in the Italian market, according to a statement. “With RingCentral, we now complete that portfolio with an AI-first cloud platform, giving resellers a way to build recurring revenue on a proven global platform, backed by our local team from pre-sales to deployment,” said Emiliano Papadopoulos, CEO of Allnet.Italia in a statement. Shares are up 160% this year. Analysts polled by LSEG largely rate RingCentral hold, and consensus price targets suggest the stock could slip 27% from current levels. Intuitive Surgical also emerged on the list. The robotic surgery company has beaten earnings estimates 89% of the time and averaged a 2.4% gain on earnings days. Shares of Intuitive Surgical fell more than 1% Tuesday alongside other medical-device stocks after Johnson & Johnson reported weaker-than-expected MedTech sales. Intuitive Surgical is expected to report on Oct. 20. In all, 25 out of 35 analysts rate the stock a buy or strong buy, and consensus price targets suggest almost 15% upside, per LSEG. Intuitive Surgical is down nearly 26% in 2026.
