If you’re thinking of picking something up during Amazon’s annualPrime Daysale, you’re not alone. Bank of America estimates $21.6 billion in goods will be sold over the course of Amazon’s Prime Day event, per Reuters. But you might be able to use a gift card instead of paying out of pocket.
For a limited time, Prime members approved for the Prime Visa (see rates and fees) can get a $200 Amazon Gift Card instantly, with no spending required. Not having to hit a spending goal to earn a card’s sign-up bonus is somewhat rare, and while the Prime Visa does require a Prime membership, the card itself doesn’t have an annual fee.
With this year’s sale running Tuesday, June 23 through Friday, June 26,now is the perfect time to apply; the Prime Visa offers instant access, so it’s automatically added to your Amazon account after approval. Below, CNBC Select covers who is eligible for the Prime Visa bonus offer and other cards that should be on your radar for Prime Day 2026.
The Prime Visa is only available to Amazon Prime members ($139 for an annual membership and $14.99 for a monthly membership) but is very rewarding for Amazon purchases.

- Offers an automatic gift card welcome bonus after card approval
- Option to earn rewards or take advantage of 0% promo APRs
- Includes a wealth of travel insurance protections
- Requires an Amazon Prime membership for approval
- If you choose the promo APR, you won’t earn rewards on those purchases
- Rewards can’t be pooled with other Chase credit cards

Who can get a $200 Amazon Gift Card?
What’s the current Prime Visa welcome offer?
New cardmembers who qualify for the Prime Visa earn a $200 gift card instantly upon approval. You don’t need to hit a spending goal or keep your Prime membership for a certain period of time, and the card is instantly loaded to your Amazon account.
This upgraded $200 offer is $50 more than the card’s previous welcome offer, and it’s only available for a limited time, as the offer will end July 9. Amazon frequently offers an elevated bonus for the Prime Visa during its annual Prime Day sale.
Additionally, the Amazon Prime Store Card (which can only be used at Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market) is also offering an automatic welcome offer. New cardholders get an $80 gift card instantly upon approval.
Additional Amazon credit card perks for Prime Day
All Prime cardmembers can earn a total of 7% back on eligible Amazon.com purchases from June 23 through June 26 when they choose No-Rush Delivery. Additionally, Prime Visa cardmembers can take advantage of Prime Card Bonus offers and earn 10% back (or more) on those purchases.
Do I qualify for the Prime Visa?
The Prime Visa requires a good-to-excellent credit score for approval (or a FICO Score of 670 and higher), which could be harder to reach for some people. That being said, Amazon does offer other credit card options with lower credit score requirements, notably the Prime Store Card.
Since the Prime Visa is issued by Chase, it falls under the infamous 5/24 rule. This rule isn’t officially acknowledged, but it means you likely won’t be approved for most Chase cards if you’ve opened five or more personal credit cards (from any issuer) within the past 24 months.
It’s worth pointing out that the Prime Visa’s $200 gift card bonus is only available to new cardholders, so if you’ve earned this card’s bonus before, you won’t be eligible.
