(WO) — Innova Drilling & Intervention has integrated manufacturer-backed power section performance data from PV Fluid Products into its cloud-based Vantage drilling platform, providing drilling teams with real-time access to temperature-adjusted mud motor performance information.
The integration uses the Innova Nexus API to retrieve PV Fluid Products’ power section performance curves after a motor model is entered during bottom-hole assembly planning. The Vantage platform then combines that information with live measurement-while-drilling (MWD) and electronic drilling recorder (EDR) data to generate a continuously updated operating envelope.
According to the companies, the integration eliminates the need for manual lookups of motor performance specifications and enables drilling personnel to compare actual downhole performance against manufacturer-approved operating parameters in real time.
The platform also provides alerts when power sections operate outside recommended limits, tracks downhole performance and offers historical analytics on power section usage across multiple drilling runs.
“The drilling industry generates enormous amounts of valuable data, but too often that information remains trapped in separate systems and workflows,” said Dan Wessel, CEO of Innova Drilling & Intervention.
PV Fluid Products said the integration gives drilling teams immediate visibility into expected versus actual power section performance, helping improve operational decision-making and drilling reliability.
