(WO) — A London industry showcase later this month will highlight investment opportunities across Venezuela’s oil and gas sector, bringing together international investors, operators and energy executives ahead of Venezuela Energy Week 2026 in Caracas.
Scheduled for July 30, the event is designed to provide UK and European stakeholders with an overview of Venezuela’s evolving upstream investment landscape and facilitate discussions with government officials, national oil companies and private-sector participants.
Organizers said the showcase comes as Venezuela seeks to increase oil production, expand natural gas commercialization and modernize energy infrastructure through renewed international investment and technical collaboration.
Several international operators have recently advanced projects in the country. Shell is preparing for offshore drilling at the Dragon gas project in 2027, while bp signed agreements earlier this year to develop the Cocuina-Manakin offshore gas field. Repsol has announced plans to increase production from its Venezuelan assets, Eni is moving forward with a heavy oil project in the Orinoco Belt, and Maurel & Prom continues development activities at the Urdaneta Oeste field. Commodity trader Vitol has also renewed its involvement in Venezuelan crude exports.
The London event is expected to attract representatives from investment funds, commercial banks, export credit agencies, engineering firms, technology providers and independent energy companies evaluating opportunities across Venezuela’s upstream sector.
The showcase will also serve as a preview of Venezuela Energy Week 2026, scheduled for Oct. 26-29 in Caracas, where government officials, operators and industry leaders are expected to discuss investment, upstream development and natural gas commercialization.
Organizers said the London event is intended to strengthen engagement between international investors and Venezuela’s energy sector as the country works to attract new capital and accelerate oil and gas development.
