(WO) — Two new offshore support vessels will be built for deployment in Saudi Arabia under an agreement between UAE-based shipbuilder Grandweld Shipyards and Bahri Logistics, expanding vessel capacity to support offshore energy operations at Ras Tanura Port.
The purpose-built vessels will support a range of offshore activities, including crew transfers, maintenance support, emergency response, vessel clearance, inspections and technical assistance for offshore facilities. Delivery of both vessels is scheduled for later this year.
Designed for operations in demanding offshore environments, the vessels will incorporate advanced navigation, communications and safety systems intended to improve operational efficiency and reliability while supporting offshore logistics in one of the world’s busiest oil export hubs.
The vessels will operate from Ras Tanura Port, a key gateway for Saudi Arabia’s crude exports, where they are expected to enhance offshore service capabilities, improve operational flexibility and provide faster response times for energy sector customers.

The project supports continued investment in Saudi Arabia’s offshore logistics infrastructure as operators seek to modernize vessel fleets serving offshore oil and gas developments. It also highlights growing regional demand for specialized offshore support vessels designed to improve safety and operational performance in the Middle East’s energy sector.
