(WO) — New Wave Offshore Energy has been selected to provide marine warranty survey (MWS) services for Shell’s Orca project in the pre-salt Santos basin offshore Brazil, expanding the company’s offshore assurance portfolio in one of the world’s largest deepwater development regions.
The scope of work includes risk management and safety oversight support across multiple phases of the project, including vessel surveys, engineering review activities, and transportation and installation (T&I) operations.
According to the company, the Orca project is estimated to contain recoverable resources of approximately 370 MMbbl.
New Wave Offshore said its role will include independent technical review and verification services intended to ensure project warranties and operational requirements are met throughout offshore execution activities.
“This award clearly validates our technical depth and operational discipline,” said Kyle Eddings, founder and CEO of New Wave Offshore Energy. “Being chosen by Shell for Marine Warranty services affirms the confidence the industry is placing in our ability to execute offshore projects with integrity and attention to detail.”
The company said the award further expands its marine warranty and offshore assurance work supporting international offshore operators and deepwater energy developments.
