(WO) – Shell plc has awarded Audubon Companies an exclusive engineering and procurement contract covering brownfield topside projects across Shell’s deepwater assets in the U.S. Gulf.
Under the agreement, Audubon will support offshore projects with total installed costs of up to $100 million, focusing on operations, maintenance and upgrade work designed to improve production and extend asset life.
The contract expands Audubon’s existing relationship with Shell after the company previously performed engineering work on several Gulf deepwater platforms beginning in 2022.
Audubon said the award positions the company as a portfolio-wide engineering and procurement provider for Shell’s offshore brownfield activities in the region.
“Our relationship with Shell continues to grow because of the trust we’ve built through project performance,” said Audubon CEO David Robison. “The offshore brownfield portfolio award underscores our ability to execute projects over time with the highest levels of quality and safety.”
Robison added that the company’s offshore experience allows it to support operations in “the most challenging offshore environments.”
Brownfield offshore projects have become an increasingly important focus for operators seeking to maximize production from existing infrastructure while controlling capital spending and extending field life in mature deepwater regions.
