(WO) — SLB’s OneSubsea joint venture has been awarded a contract by ExxonMobil Moçambique, Limitada to supply subsea production systems for the first phase of the deepwater Rovuma LNG development offshore Mozambique.
ExxonMobil awarded the contract on behalf of the Area 4 partners, which include ENH, CNPC, Eni, KOGAS and XRG.
The scope covers subsea trees, manifolds, umbilicals and associated control systems to support production from the deepwater development. OneSubsea will provide engineering, procurement and manufacturing services, as well as installation support.
“This award reflects our ability to deliver integrated subsea solutions that help customers accelerate development and maximize value from deepwater resources,” said Mads Hjelmeland, CEO of SLB OneSubsea.
As part of the project, OneSubsea plans to establish a service base in Mozambique to support offshore operators in the region. The facility is expected to provide local training and employment while supporting development of the regional supply chain.
Rovuma LNG will develop natural gas resources in Mozambique’s offshore Area 4, expanding the country’s deepwater LNG development portfolio.
