(WO) — SLB has secured a contract from Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) to support the restoration of production from shut-in wells across multiple mature offshore fields in Brunei.
Under the contract, SLB will provide an integrated production restoration program spanning subsurface evaluation, well candidate selection, engineering and offshore execution. The scope also includes project management, well intervention services, monitoring, metering and marine logistics.
The project marks the first deployment of SLB’s integrated production restoration solution for BSP, combining multiple services and workflows under a coordinated execution model. The program is designed to identify and return shut-in wells to production while increasing recovery from existing offshore infrastructure.
“Building on our long collaboration in the region, this contract reflects a shared commitment to maximizing value from existing offshore resources,” said Gokhan Yarim, senior vice president of Integration at SLB.
“Together with BSP, we are combining SLB’s production expertise and integrated execution capabilities to help restore production from shut-in wells, increase recovery from existing infrastructure and support BSP’s long-term production objectives.”
The program will use coordinated reservoir surveillance, engineering and intervention planning to optimize production across BSP’s mature offshore assets while maintaining safe and efficient operations.
SLB said the award reflects operators’ increasing focus on maximizing recovery and extending the productive life of existing offshore fields through integrated well intervention and production management.
Financial terms of the contract, the number of wells covered and anticipated incremental production were not disclosed.
