(WO) — TWMA has secured a three-year contract extension with a major operator in Egypt, continuing its provision of drilling waste management services as offshore activity expands across the Eastern Mediterranean.

The award extends an existing three-year agreement and marks another milestone for the company, which is celebrating 20 years of operations in Egypt. TWMA said its Egypt business also is approaching 16 years without a lost time incident (LTI).
The company operates with a fully nationalized workforce across facilities in Cairo and Alexandria. Its Alexandria waste processing facility handles an average of 10,000 metric tons of drilling waste annually using TWMA’s proprietary RotoMill® technology. In addition to onshore waste processing, the company provides onshore and offshore pit and tank cleaning services, as well as hazardous and non-hazardous waste management for oil and gas operations.

TWMA Chief Executive Officer Halle Aslaksen said Egypt remains a key market for the company’s regional growth strategy as offshore activity in the Eastern Mediterranean continues to increase.

The contract extension supports TWMA’s broader Middle East and North Africa expansion plans, which include a recently opened onshore processing facility in the UAE and continued investment in drilling waste management and environmental services across the region.
