(WO) — Vector Geophysical has purchased 30,000 STRYDE Halo-Connect seismic nodes to expand its high-density land seismic acquisition capacity in Colombia, with the equipment scheduled for its first deployment on a Parex Resources exploration and development project.
The order is STRYDE’s first large-scale deployment of its Halo-Connect technology since the new generation of miniature seismic nodes was introduced in June 2026.
Vector will combine the nodes with STRYDE’s Nimble Receiver System, allowing crews to rotate up to 3,780 nodes per day. The increased capacity is designed to accelerate high-density seismic acquisition while reducing field logistics across large survey areas.
“Our investment in STRYDE’s latest technology played an important role in securing this project,” said Felipe Lizarralde, CEO of Vector Geophysical. “It gives us more than additional acquisition capacity; it provides a faster, more integrated way to manage high-density seismic programs from the field through to data delivery.”
Vector also plans to use STRYDE Lens, an in-field processing system that allows seismic data to be remotely processed as it is acquired. The system provides field teams with near-real-time information on data quality and subsurface conditions, allowing potential acquisition issues to be identified earlier.
The investment comes as operators in Colombia seek higher-resolution subsurface data to support exploration and development decisions.
