(WO) — ADNOC and SLB have deployed an artificial intelligence-enabled drilling platform across more than 120 onshore and offshore drilling rigs, expanding the use of real-time operational intelligence to improve drilling efficiency and reduce downtime across one of the industry’s largest rig fleets.
The AI-enabled Real-Time Operations Center (RTOC), powered by SLB’s DrillOps™ intelligent well delivery and insights solutions, provides engineers with a centralized, real-time view of drilling operations. The platform integrates live rig data, advanced analytics and AI-driven insights to help identify operational issues earlier, improve coordination and accelerate decision-making.
According to ADNOC, the deployment reduces engineering effort by 30% to 40%, enabling engineers to oversee two to three times more rigs while maintaining operational oversight. The company said AI-powered analytics can shorten incident response times by four to 12 hours and help avoid up to two days of rig downtime by identifying potential issues before they escalate.

The platform has been deployed across ADNOC Drilling’s fleet to support both ADNOC Onshore and ADNOC Offshore operations. SLB said the system transforms real-time drilling data into operational intelligence that provides the digital foundation for AI-enabled workflows and supports the industry’s continued progression toward more autonomous drilling operations.
Developed in the UAE and hosted within ADNOC’s sovereign cloud environment, the platform keeps operational data within the country while supporting secure, AI-driven workflows across the company’s drilling operations.
