(WO) — CB&I’s Asset Solutions business has secured a three-year contract to provide operations and maintenance services for an FPSO offshore Côte d’Ivoire, expanding the company’s presence in West Africa.
Under the contract, CB&I will be responsible for the FPSO’s operations, maintenance, integrity management and regulatory compliance. The scope also includes maintaining asset reliability and class certification over the contract period.
CB&I will take responsibility for the vessel following a structured transition from the incumbent service provider, with initial work focused on the safe restart and stabilization of operations. The company did not identify the customer or FPSO, citing the client’s communications policy.
The award is classified by CB&I as a “large” contract, which the company defines as having a value between $50 million and $100 million. An exact contract value was not disclosed.
CB&I Asset Solutions, formerly part of Petrofac, has an established presence in Côte d’Ivoire and provides operations, maintenance and asset integrity services for offshore facilities.
“Over the last few years we have been accelerating our presence across Africa, building on a 20-year presence in the region and our commitment to bolster the local supply chain and build local workforces,” said Sandy Merson, senior vice president of Asset Operations for CB&I Asset Solutions.
Merson said the company will focus on production and operations aimed at maintaining reliability and extending the life of the offshore asset.
