(WO) – Subsea7 S.A. has been awarded an engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract by ExxonMobil for a subsea tie-back project offshore Angola.
The award, valued between $150 million and $300 million, covers work on the Redevelopment 2.0 Likembe Project in Block 15, a mature deepwater area where operators continue to pursue incremental production through tie-back developments.
The project will be executed through the Subsea Integration Alliance, a partnership between Subsea7 and SLB OneSubsea. Under the agreement, Subsea7 will manage project engineering and installation, while SLB OneSubsea will deliver the umbilical scope.
Engineering and project management will be carried out across Subsea7’s global offices, including Paris, Luanda, Lisbon and Sutton, with umbilical manufacturing supported from Norway.
“This award further strengthens our relationship with ExxonMobil,” said Olivier Blaringhem, CEO of Subsea Integration Alliance, noting the role of early collaboration in optimizing project execution.
The contract highlights continued investment in subsea tie-back developments in West Africa, as operators extend the life of existing offshore assets and maximize recovery from established fields.
