(WO) — Saipem has secured a contract from GOE Petrol Sanayi to provide commissioning services for the Osman Gazi floating production unit (FPU), which will support development of the Sakarya gas field offshore Türkiye in the Black Sea.
The contract is expected to run for approximately eight months and expands Saipem’s involvement in the Sakarya development. The company was previously awarded operations readiness and assurance support work for the project in April 2026.
Discovered in August 2020, the Sakarya gas field is being developed by Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) approximately 170 km offshore Türkiye in water depths of around 2,150 m.
Under the latest award, Saipem will provide commissioning services for the Osman Gazi FPU, drawing on its experience commissioning complex offshore energy facilities.
The contract further expands Saipem’s presence in Türkiye as development of the deepwater Sakarya gas resource advances.
