(WO) — Zion Oil & Gas has completed drilling and casing the horizontal section of its MJ-02 well in Israel, reaching the planned lateral target as the company prepares to move into stimulation and production testing.
The company said stimulation, testing and completion operations are scheduled to begin following the Jewish High Holidays. Equipment required for the stimulation program is currently being shipped to Israel.
A small crew will remain at the MJ-02 site to monitor the well during the interim period. Zion said the sequencing is intended to have equipment in place for the next phase while limiting standby costs during the holiday period.
The upcoming program will focus on stimulating and testing the horizontal section to evaluate the well’s production potential.
“Following the Jewish High Holidays, we will commence the stimulation, testing, and completion phase of the well,” CEO Rob Dunn said.
